Job Description
We are headquartered in San Francisco and are currently looking for a Risk Credit Manager with experience analyzing potential loans and leases, with emphasis on pre-IPO venture capital backed companies as well as equipment leases with major US public and private corporations. This is an exciting opportunity that will include extensive on the job training with ATEL’s current chief credit officer of 30 years who will be retiring in the following year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or business field required
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in credit (15 preferred) and experience in the following areas:
- Middle market and credit analysis
- Venture lending credit experience
- Negotiating leases and loans with a legal team
- Portfolio administration and handling the needs of accounting department and auditors
Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Excel skills: ability to work with pivot tables a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Solid knowledge of contract law
- Ability to collaborate and work with the needs of multiple departments including Accounting, Audit, Legal, Asset Management and Sales/Originations team members
- Must live (or be willing to relocate) within a reasonable commute to the financial district of San Francisco
