ATEL invests in a wide variety of assets and industries including mining, manufacturing, construction, transportation, energy, rail, and medical.

Job Description

We are seeking a professional sales manager with a minimum of 10 years of equipment finance/leasing and management experience. Successful candidate will act as a player coach in our equipment leasing division. This person must be comfortable arranging and conducting meetings with Fortune 1000 C-level executives. Candidates will need to provide background on the types of transaction closed and historical sales volume.

Qualifications

  • will aggressively work an extensive 30+ year database of ATEL contacts with lessees
  • will initiate and cultivate new lessee relationships
  • will travel as required to be successful
  • has strong financial skills including expertise at calculating lease rates, present values, yields and IRR's, SuperTrump experience a plus
  • possesses innate selling skills but willing to improve strategy and tactics
  • a bachelor's degree is required with MBA preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the ALC sales Department
  • Working closely with Senior management to establish overall goals and strategy
  • Training and motivating the ALC Sales department
  • Conducting annual reviews, recruiting and hiring staff, probation & termination
  • Establishing volume budget goals and managing commission plans
  • Weekly pipeline meeting with Executive Management
  • Locate qualified lease opportunities for the ATEL Funds
  • Originating lease transactions with fortune 500 companies
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects
  • Prepare Proposals
  • Strategize Opportunities with Direct Sales
  • Conduct national on-site customer meetings
  • Coordinating with Legal Department on awarded transactions
  • Transaction and workload review with bi-weekly Funding Meetings
  • Preparing Offering Memoranda for Syndication (Sell) Transactions
  • Interact with Asset Management on equipment valuation
  • Due Diligence Presentation for ATEL Investors
  • Hire, orient and train new Representatives
